Who needs sleep?

I've been meaning to update since school started but Little Froggy has seen to it that I've been too exhausted to pull that off. She has, quite simply, refused to sleep a whole night through in probably a week and a half. I'm one of those people who desperately requires sleep to function so you can figure out where that leaves me.

She's doing well in school, however. She's had a couple rough days but all in all, she's doing better than we really expected. I just wish she'd sleep.

So, please don't think we fell off the planet. We're here, just wishing we were a little better rested.

  1. Hi Victoria,

Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments on my blog and for sharing your experiences with me. I have posted comments and answers for you. :)

Okay, sleeping, I have had huge problems with Austin sleeping too. I use to give him his DVD player and recently his iPad, although, this just stimulates him like crazy some days, and some days it settles him. Any kind of lights at night keeps him from sleeping. I did get him a small nightlight though because he is afraid of the dark. I found that reading him a story, giving him a bath with a "sleepy bath wash" formula made him tired and most of all, a cuddle puts him right out in a matter of minutes. Do you give Little Froggy anything to eat prior to sleeping? I found that would help Austin settle too, in case he was hungry. Cheese or crackers and a bit of white milk helped a lot.

Happy to hear she is doing well in school. I hope that she gets some sleep. Oh yes, do you have a trampoline? We let Austin run laps in our yard or go to his trampoline before bedtime and it seems to settle him if he is "wound up" (his words).

I hope you all get some sleep soon. I am one of the lucky ones, I can do a lot on very little sleep (I get that from my Dad) but I do have a "slight" coffee addiction! LOL!

    All the best!

    *HUGS* :) Heather

  2. Bath and snuggles are both huge helps for us. She insists that her tv be on (we leave it on the screensaver for Finding Nemo) and that her nightlight be on. I hadn't considered that she might be hungry so I'll try that. I'm sure it goes without saying that it's a pain to get her to eat.

And no, we don't have a trampoline, but for where we currently live it's a space issue. Once we get moved we've talked about investing in one. You're absolutely right though... I think it would help! I might ought to take her out and let her run a bit before she gets her bath. It couldn't hurt!

Thanks so much for answering my questions and for stopping by. It means a lot!
