School fun

Froggy is making great progress at school. She's settled in enough now to misbehave now and then and I love that her teacher has a sense of humor about it. Usually though she behaves. She comes home with a "prize" every day so she's gotta be doing something right.

In a few days we should get her progress report home. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. On the one hand she got a great report last time and I've got no reason to expect anything different this time. On the other, a part of me is afraid that the first good progress report was beginning-of-the-year momentum. I know she's improving each week but I worry anyway.

She's developing a normal friend dynamic with her school friend. They won't play with anyone but each other and sometimes one gets jealous of the prize the other takes home at the end of the day. Friday, Froggy came home telling us all about how she "misses the whale" and how D took it home with her. Come to find out D got a whale squirty toy out of the prize box and Froggy wanted it. Her teacher seems to think it's cute for the most part. Like I've said before, I'm just tickled she even has a friend. It's even more exciting that they have girl squabbles and everything!

How are your kids coming along? Any news?
