Froggy has been very high strung lately. Little things set her off in a way I'm not used to seeing. It's like her base levels of stress are higher than usual so it takes less and less to overstimulate her and send her into a meltdown. She lacks impulse control during these moments; that, more than anything else, is what scares me, since it seems to be getting worse and worse.
For a while we'd toyed with the idea of getting her a fish tank. She loves fish and since they tend to have a calming effect on people we figured we'd give it a shot. At the very least, her daddy and I would enjoy it.
So, three weeks ago, we set up a tank. We started the nitrogen cycle, and we waited. Finally, this past weekend, it started looking like it was safe to buy some fish.
This is the catfish, whom she has named Dory.
This is our setup as a whole. It's still immature but as the plants grow it should fill in nicely.
And these are a few of the guppies and Endler's Livebearers we stocked her tank with.
So far she's in love with her tank and her fish, so cross your fingers that it'll serve the purpose we intended.
